Preparing to Integrate the Webduct Tool Tracker Module into your Deployment
It’s time for Webduct clients to start thinking about integrating tools, tool room consumables and inventory control into their Webduct deployments. Version 1.0 of the Webduct Tracker is now undergoing real-world testing with our Beta Client.
We expect this phase of testing to run for about three weeks in which time we will complete any improvements and bug fixes to make sure end users find it fast and easy to order, track and invoice tools and equipment.
We have designed the Tracker integration with Webduct so there will be virtually no changes or additional training for field foremen. The only difference for remote workers is they will now have real-time access to see and track all the tools assigned to them. Processing tool orders is very similar to processing existing tool requests with a couple more steps to assign a specific tool to the foreman for billing to the job.
Clients planning on using the Webduct Tracker must ensure they are enforcing Job Name/Numbers on all work orders, or tools and equipment will not be properly trackable or billed properly. Administrators will also need to ensure Job Names/Numbers are kept up-to-date with new jobs getting entered into Webduct and completed jobs set as retired.
